SONOHR 2022 Ear Lesson: Meet the Stoop (eng)

Wednesday Mar 09, 2022
The Stoop reports on «stories from across the black diaspora» – in America and globally. Whether they speak about the sounds of blackness, reparations, corporal punishment, the Prince of Zamunda or their booties, they speak from an angle that is aware of taboos but deals with them by giving voice to unheard people, stories and perspectives. The Stoop were guests at SONOHR Festival 2022 with a live podcast show on Saturday evening and an Ear Lesson in the morning. This is an excerpt of the Ear lesson, where Lucia Vasella talked with Hana Baba and Leila Day, the journalists behind The Stoop about their production work and about how podcasts can create spaces in which sensitive topics can be discussed personally, openly, and up-closely.
